FAQ’S

Why does the school need a new building?

Renting presents significant limitations and uncertainty, leaving us vulnerable to potential closure if our rental options diminish—an experience we’ve faced firsthand after moving three times in eight years. A permanent home will offer the stability and continuity our students need, enabling us to support families in a Christ-centered, family-focused learning environment for generations to come. We need a place to call home—where our students can thrive, our community can flourish, and our mission to impact lives can be wholeheartedly pursued.

How will families in our community benefit from a new school building?

The new facility will offer students and families a comprehensive learning environment with 25 modern classrooms, specialized spaces like a music room, theater, greenhouses, kitchen classroom for hands-on learning, and dedicated outdoor spaces for all age groups.. Athletic facilities will include a gymnasium, athletic field, and nature trail/cross country course. Parent spaces and administrative offices will foster family engagement, creating a vibrant, connected community where students can thrive academically, artistically, and athletically.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes, donations to the school are tax-deductible, as the school is a registered nonprofit organization. Donors can typically receive a tax receipt for their contributions, which can be used to claim deductions on their tax returns. We encourage donors to consult with a tax professional for specific guidance regarding their individual tax situations.

Absolutely - the design includes parent spaces, which offer parents a place to connect, volunteer, and stay involved in school activities.

Will there be spaces for parents within the new facility?

This new building will have little impact on tuition or fees. Our plan is to enhance our facilities while keeping costs stable for families, ensuring that quality education remains accessible to all.

How will this impact tuition or fees?

The goal is to raise $13 million for the new building. This amount reflects the significant costs associated with constructing a facility designed to accommodate 600 students. Factors contributing to this total include the need for state-of-the-art classrooms, specialized spaces for arts and sciences, athletic facilities, and outdoor areas, all of which are essential for providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

How much money are you trying to raise?

Campaign progress is underway, showcasing the impact and power of community support.

Onward is more than a school - it’s a unique community where lives are transformed. Your support has the power to impact countless families for generations to come.

What Does Onward Mean to me?

I love being a part of Onward Christian Academy! I get to learn in a way that lets me grow academically and spiritually while spending time at home each week. A new building would be amazing—it would mean a real space just for us, with room for afterschool activities and maybe even a playground where we could all connect and have fun together!

I like that it’s not every single day—it’s only two days a week. It allows me to spend more time with my family, and it’s just less stress. Having a permanent building means we don’t have to spend time taking other people’s buildings because it would be nice to stop moving around. It would have a huge library with tons of books!
